When do you purchase and pay for a meal plan? Where can the flex dollars be used on campus? Are the actual meals in a meal plan only good at Winslow or are there other options where the meals can be used?

we are a new freshman but asd I understand it the meal plan (we purchased 175/400) can only be used in Winslow with the flex dollars in ANY other venue on campus (Starbucks, CUrris, the little mini-mart, etc. sweet shoppe in Curris)
This is dependant onthe Residential housing the student is assidend to (some are allowed to use the CURRIS center dining, called Thorobread, I think) because of their location.

If you have a meal plan with flex dollar, than the meal plan has to be used in Winslow (but can be used more then 3 times a day) and the flex at all other venues like stated. But if you live in white or regents then you can also use your meal plan in the T-Room (which is better food). If you meal plan is only meal plan with no flex then you can use this everywhere except the T-Room but have a set amount of money you can spend.
Last Semester it was $3.70 for breakfast, $4.30 for lunch and five dollars for dinner worth of food.
So if you have a mean plan and you want to buy a drink, and food with you meal plan at fast track( the little convent store-that is overpriced but convenient on campus) you can buy a soda-which cost 1.00, and bag of chips which cost 1.19 a PB&J sandwich which cost $.89 plus a piece of candy that cost $.20 for lunch and have two cents left for you meal that day. If you only have a meal plan then your meal card can only be used 3 times regardless of the place, and there is certain times you can use lunch, breakfast, and dinner meal plans.
Hope this helps, sorry if confusing, but once on campus it is easier to understand.
I would go with flex and meal.
