Student Tech Showcase on campus

Posted on Nov 10, 2006

Student technology leaders from Region One will participate in the Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) Showcase on Murray State University's campus on Nov. 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. All events will be held in the Curris Center, located on Chestnut Street, just off Five Points.

Students and STLP coordinators will gather to share ideas, learning from each other and taking new innovative projects back to their schools.

Also, students will be chosen at the regional competition to continue on to the Kentucky Teaching and Learning Conference and for judging at the state competition in Lexington next May.

The public is invited free of charge to attend and view various technology activities that students are producing in their classrooms and schools. The showcase will provide an opportunity for students, parents, teachers and the public to see empowered students in action. In addition, students will be involved in technology scavenger hunts, cyber-reporting, learning sessions and campus tours.
