ROTC training on campus
There has been some concern expressed by faculty, staff and students regarding training exercises conducted by the ROTC program. The ROTC program conducts its training lab on Thursday mornings from 7-9am. During this time you may see our cadets in their Army uniforms carrying rubber, non-functioning M16 rifles. Most of the time, this training is conducted near the soccer field, east of the Curris Center. However, to help with training and with space constraints, the cadets do move throughout other parts of campus. Prior to this training Public Safety is notified and there is always at least one instructor with the students. I appreciate your concern and foremost the diligence to keep a safe campus. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at 6465 or CPT Brent Hulse, Department of Military Science at 5064.
